tinyadr in a nutshell
tinyadr is a centralised means for distributing and sharing your contact information.
tinyadr creates a short web address which can be used to send your contact details to anyone with internet access.
tinyadr works by marking up your contact details with lovely Microformats. Anyone who then visits your tinyadr will be prompted to download your contact details.
This service is currently restricted to the Technorati contacts feed service but we hope in the future to be able to open this service up to other third-party microformat consumers.
tinyadr was made over a few late nights by Cole Henley - the brains and brawn behind TINY v, purveyors of accessible and ethical web sites in Central Scotland - and wouldn't have been possible without the inspiration and labours of a number of people.
Warm, gooey thanks to:
- Drew McLellan, Andy Clarke, Flash Gordon and Brian Cant for introducing me to Microformats
- Drew McLellan for the wonderful hKit plugin
- Technorati for their hosted Contacts feed service
- And last, but by no means least, the Microformats community
